Chapter 37 - Hug Me, Big Brother (1)
On their way back, Huo YanXiao saw a tanghulu shop that had been raved about on the internet so he stopped the car and asked, “AnAn, see anything you like?”

Nie AnAn looked at the line of little kids and shook her head. “Big brother, I don’t eat outside food very much.”
Huo YanXiao nodded and drove away. “Mm, you are right. Outside food can be very unhygienic. Let’s head to the supermarket then?”
Having rested for a little while in the car, Nie AnAn had regained most of her strength so the two of them headed to the supermarket for groceries.
When they were about home, Huo YanXiao got a call. He took a look at the caller ID and swiped to answer.
“Boss Huo, I have got something on the thing that you’ve asked me to look into earlier,” said the other person.
“Okay, speak,” said Huo YanXiao in a concise manner.
“The Qin’s do, indeed, have biopharmaceutical company and it is located in Southern America,” said the person on the other end of the phone.
Huo YanXiao frowned slightly and squinted. “Were you able to find out anything else?”
“No, they have very tight security and we weren’t able to get our guys inside. So this was as much as we could find out,” replied the other person.
“Okay, I get it,” said Huo YanXiao as he hung up the phone.
Nie AnAn kept her eyes lowered and her fingers twisted together. The Huo YanXiao just now made her feel uneasy.
She could clearly sense a quick flash of killer’s intent after Huo YanXiao heard what the person on the other end had to say.
Perhaps he had been too nice to her the last couple of days and she had forgotten that he was the boss villain in the book. Huo YanXiao had been labeled as cold blooded and vicious in the novel.
“What’s the matter, AnAn?” ask Huo YanXiao. He deliberately lowered his voice when speaking to her.
Nie AnAn recovered and smiled at Huo YanXiao. “Oh, nothing. Just remember the experience on the roller coaster and I'm still a little frightened.”
He squeezed her in her palm and said, “We won’t go there again. I’ll take you to the zoo next time.”
Nie AnAn looked up and the tender look in Huo YanXiao’s eyes made her relax once again.
It was mentioned in the book that even after the original owner was pursuing Qin ZiMing and had fallen out with Huo YanXiao, Huo YanXiao had never tried anything to hurt her.
And she had clearly drawn the line between Qin ZiMing and herself since she had come; naturally, there was no reason for Huo YanXiao to do anything to harm her.
So, it should be sufficient to just be a nice and obedient sister, right?
But, why was he picking amusement parks and zoos to go with her?
Recalling that she hasn’t had many opportunities to go to zoos in her previous life either, she nodded obediently. “Okay, as long as it doesn’t interfere with big brother’s work.”
Huo YanXiao rubbed Nie AnAn on her head.
The two of them got out of the car after they had rounded the corner.
Huo YanXiao took out all their groceries and carried them all in one hand. Then, as though he was worried that Nie AnAn still wasn’t feeling well, he held her hand with his other hand as they went up the stairs.
Nie AnAn looked at her little hand that was completely enveloped by the man’s large hand with his prominent knuckles and raised the corners of her mouth. The warmth feeling had returned all over again.
The two of them had returned home and Nie AnAn went to bake in the kitchen. She had purchased quite a bit of baking ingredients today, perfect for a switch to something different than usual.
By the time she was turned around after placing the chiffon cake inside the oven, she saw Huo YanXiao on the phone outside again.
