Chapter 20 -  I Will Be Moving Out (3)

From the financial news, Nie AnAn had learned that Huo YanXiao had been working closely with the Qin’s recently and also in the process of negotiating a deal with the Nie’s.

His business has been growing continuously, but Nie AnAn felt that his style has changed. He was much more low key than how he was described in the book.

After she came out of the bathroom, Nie AnAn took a look in the downstairs direction and saw that Huo YanXiao didn’t go back upstairs but sat down motionlessly on the couch.

She felt that was a little odd, so she took another look at him. That’s when she noticed that his face was red, as though he had had a few too much to drink.

A second later, he got up all of a sudden and quickly walked into the bathroom downstairs.

Vomiting sound could be heard after that.

Nie AnAn stood there and listened to it for a while until the downstairs went back to silence.

A little while later, Huo YanXiao went back onto the couch, plopped onto it, and didn’t move again.

Aye… Nie AnAn sighed slightly and decided to go downstairs to check it out.

She was, after all, living in his house and using his sister’s body. Surely, his attitude was a bit annoying previously, but given his look and his body’s current condition, she could try to take care of him a little.

Nie AnAn went downstairs and first took a look at Huo YanXiao. She saw that he was squinting, as though half asleep, probably still feeling pretty sickly.

She went inside the kitchen and started getting busy.

Making hangover soup couldn’t be any easier for her. In addition to the hangover soup, she also made a small pot of porridge. Neither one of them took very long to make.

Nie AnAn brought the hangover soup, cooled down to just the perfect temperature, with a straw over to the couch.

“Big brother, have some hangover soup,” said Nie AnAn and placed the straw next to his lips.

He was still groggy but, luckily, he was able to find the straw and started drinking. He devoured half a bowl of soup quickly and was no longer very thirsty. His brows had also unfurrowed a little.

Nie AnAn knew that Huo YanXiao was a very busy man. He’d probably be heading into the office again first thing tomorrow morning. Even with the hangover soup, he’d probably still have a hangover tomorrow morning.

So, she walked around to the back of the couch and started massaging his head.

Basic medicine and massages were also the basic skillset of a nutritionist. Her massaging action was precise and slowly but surely easing the headache for him.

During his half-asleep state, Huo YanXiao just felt that the fingers landing on his head and temples were soft but firm. His pain was being eased slowly. He was less groggy and seemed easier for him to fall asleep now.

Next to his ears, there was a soft voice. It sounded as if it was holding in a lot of grievances as it flowed into his ears, “I really don’t like Qin ZiMing anymore. It’s fine if you don’t believe me. I’ll move out as soon as I get a job, and you won’t have me here irritating you anymore…”

Huo YanXiao wanted to focus more on what she was saying, but his brain continued to relax more from the massage. Finally, he fell asleep without knowing that he did.

The next morning, when Huo YanXiao woke up, he found that he was covered under a thin blanket. On the blanket, there was a note, “There’s porridge in the kitchen.”

No salutation, no signature, but the handwriting was soft. It was obviously written by her.
