Chapter 121 - Dessert (3)
Everybody was expressing their opinions online. In the kitchen, Nie AnAn had no idea that the public opinions about her had already started to change.
She suddenly remembered something that she had omitted earlier. As she happened to see Huo YanXiao when she turned around, she quickly asked, “Big Brother, when we talked on the phone two nights ago, you said there is something else that you wanted to eat. What is it? I am just now remembering it. I haven’t prepared it yet.”
Huo YanXiao looked at the girl’s limpid eyes and walked over to her one step at a time. He leaned down and kissed her on her cheek. “That’s more like a dessert dish. We can talk about it after we’ve had dinner.”
“Oh, okay,” said Nie AnAn trustingly.
She continued to stir fry in front of the stove and lowered the heat for the steamer. Finally, the soup, too, was ready.

Huo YanXiao walked over to the kitchen to bring the food out, and the two of them sat down in front of the dinner table.
Nie AnAn suddenly remembered something and asked Huo YanXiao. “Big Brother, did you have someone arrange for the camera in your ward ahead of time on purpose?”
Huo YanXiao nodded. “AnAn, there are many things one can buy with money in his world,” said Huo YanXiao. “That included those around Qin ZiMing and those in the hospital.”
He paid a sufficient amount of money plus dirt on someone around Qin ZiMing and the person flipped sides immediately.
Whatever it was that Qin ZiMing wanted to use on him had turned into evidence of attempted murder against Qin ZiMing and Mrs. Qi. Things were even simpler at the hospital.
The displays on the instruments were pre-set, and he had the Bluetooth controller in his hand. He could adjust it to whatever amount that he wanted to.
And the surgery at the very end, that was nothing but a show.
Huo YanXiao told Nie AnAn all that had happened. Nie AnAn nodded and finally felt relieved.
As for how long the sentences for Qin ZiMing and Mrs. Qin were going to be, that wasn’t something that she could worry about.
But she knew that even if Qin ZiMing was released, there wasn’t much he could do anymore.
She, nonetheless, lamented. She never liked Qin ZiMing even when she read the original novel. Qin ZiMing was the kind who had everything handed to him his entire life. He faced no hardships. The biggest adversities that he had faced in his life were perhaps just some minor issues in his relationship with Li ManGe. He was perfect when there were no temptations.
Yet, as soon as the fate started to turn, his dark sides emerged completely.
But none of those mattered anymore. Nie AnAn raised her head and looked at Huo YanXiao sitting at the dinner table. All she could feel was that her heart had been washed over with a warm sensation.
After dinner, Huo YanXiao went to do dishes and Nie AnAn watched him from one side.
When he was done, she looked up at him and asked, “Big Brother, did you say you wanted some snacks after dinner? Do I need to start with the flour?”
Huo YanXiao dried his hands and walked over to stand in front of Nie AnAn.
He was tall and large and his shadow casted over her. His eyes were deep like a torrent. “Yeah, okay.”
“Oh?” Nie AnAn felt that Huo YanXiao was acting a bit strange, but she nodded and was about to walk around him to get to the flour.
All of a sudden, she felt that her body was in the air. Nie AnAn was lifted up by Huo YanXiao and placed on top of the large dinner table in the dining room.
Having her in his arms, he no longer tried to hide the emotions inside his eyes. “AnAn, let’s eat it now.”
“Big Brother?” Nie AnAn blinked and then she got it all of a sudden.
Did he mean he was going to eat… her?
