Chapter 114 - Everyone is Watching the Live Stream (2)
During everyone’s discussion, Qin ZiMing had already unleashed all of his disgruntlement that had been building up inside of him over time.
He felt that the big weight on his chest had been lifted and felt good for himself.
Mrs. Qin had been guarding the door this entire time so that Qin Hai couldn’t walk in inadvertently.
This being an isolation ward, the door was very thick and it was impossible to hear the conversation inside the room from the outside. They weren’t worried about Qin Hai hearing anything from the outside.
Laying on the bed, Huo YanXiao struggled to no avail, and his hand finally went limp when all his energy was gone.
On the EKG machine, his heart beat turned into a flatline.
Inside the room, Mrs. Qin’s eyes lit up. She exchanged a look with Qin ZiMing; they could see happiness in each other’s eyes.
Nonetheless, the two of them possessed award-winning acting skills. It took less than two seconds for the two of them to put a grave look on themselves.
“Big Brother, what’s happening?” Qin ZiMing’s eyes were reddened. His acting was even better than that of Li ManGe, the girlfriend that he was still trying to dump. His breathing intensified, as though he had just lost someone who he loved dearly. “Don’t worry. I will go get the doctor right now!”
“ZiMing, what’s going on with YanXiao?” Mrs. Qin tugged at Qin ZiMing’s arm. There were already tears in her eyes. “I’m sure the machine has malfunctioned. Old Qin has just found his son. How could it end this way?!”
The two of them were playing off of each other as they walked out of the isolation ward as though the pain that they were feeling would be shared by others looking in.
Inside the streaming channel, the netizens went berserk.
“Big Brother Huo was gone?? No! I don’t believe it! No way that is true!”
“Why is it that the bad guys are still around but my Big Brother Huo was gone?!”
“NOOOoooo, I could die from crying too much.”
“Man, I must say, the acting, the emotions from that mother and son duo were impeccable. Did they all graduate from the professional classes of China’s film academy?”
As everybody continued to type away in the channel, Qin ZiMing and Mrs. Qin have already walked over to Qan Hai.
Choking back their tears, they told him, “He is gone.”
Qin Hai shuddered and almost couldn’t stand up.
But, quickly, he was able to walk over to take one last look at his son with Qin ZiMing’s help.
He stumbled over to Huo YanXiao’s bed. Looking at this very pale son, his tears started streaming down quietly.
In his tears, there were pain, unjust, and also regret that he could not share with anyone else.
“Dad, don’t be too sad now. Big Brother is already gone. You need to watch out for your own health.”
“He’s right, Old Qin. This is all meant to be. It was just so sad that he had just returned to the Qin’s, and I truly see him as my own and wanted to make up for his last 26 years and then this happened….”
Mrs. Qin and Qin ZiMing took turns talking and seemed even more upset than Qin Hai.
Everybody was talking about how shameless those two were inside the streaming channel, but oblivious to all that, the two of them carried on with their acting.
Outside of the window, wind and rain were still coming down hard along with thunder and lightning. The sky seemed to have cracked open in the middle and rain was just pouring out from the crack.
Laying on top of the bed, Huo YanXiao seemed to have a dream.
He dreamed about his previous life.
It was a thunderous and rainy day just like today. Back then, he felt his body growing weaker and weaker, and the helplessness of just feeling his life leaving his body without being able to do a thing about it surrounded him all the way.
