Chapter 92 - Huo YanXiao v. Qin ZiMing (4)
Miles away from Qin ZiMing and Huo YanXiao, the shooting would be wrapping up in a couple more days.
What happened the night before did not influence Nie AnAn negatively. If anything, she was pleasantly surprised at how good she was at fighting. Nobody would be able to bully her from now on.
All three of the secret guests this time were big shots, so it was particularly active inside the streaming channels. That was, if the weather didn’t turn unexpectedly.
Every time Nie AnAn and Ji YunChuan went grocery shopping, they had to walk a distance before they could find transportation.
The two took shortcuts and the roads were not even.
This was the second to last day of the filming and the sun was out when the two left in the afternoon. What they hadn’t expected was that the weather turned abruptly on their way back.
The wind was strong, so strong that it almost scratched their cheeks. Even the bun on Nie AnAn’s head was getting messy.
Pea-sized raindrops fell onto the ground and all the pedestrians hurried about.
It so happened that the two of them bought quite a bit today. Even though there was another crew member with them, they still each have a bag in each hand.
Walking on the uneven path, Nie AnAn accidentally stepped onto something and started leaning toward one side.
With bags in her hand, she couldn’t regain her balance right away. Both Ji YunChuan and the crew member were a few steps away and neither one of them were able to break her fall. The items inside her bags spilled all over and Nie AnAn fell all the way to the ground. Banging up against the rocky path, she sustained a few scrapes.
“AnAn, are you alright?” Ji YunChuan, having heard the noise, immediately put down the bags in his hand and rushed over. He helped Nie AnAn up and said, “You are hurt!”
Nie AnAn struggled to get up onto her feet with Ji YunChuan’s help. Her legs hurt so much that they were a bit numb. She tried to take a step forward only to realize that she could barely walk.
And now, the wind was getting stronger and the rain was coming down heavier. The wind from the ocean, without the blockage from mountains or buildings, was so strong that it almost felt like it could carry one away.
Ji YunChuan finally got Nie AnAn to stand steadily. He gritted his teeth and said, “AnAn, perhaps I can carry you back?”
Before he had squatted down, a hand landed on Nie AnAn’s shoulder.
Ji YunChuan looked up and was surprised to see the man who had appeared in front of them out of nowhere.
Huo YanXiao, in his button-down shirt and dress pants, was drenched from the rain. His strands of loose hair stuck to his forehead and rain was dripping from them.
But, even so, he was still radiating an elegant and distant aura.
Nie AnAn first thought it was the crew member who was going to offer her support, but out of the corner of her eyes, she saw a beautiful and slender hand on her shoulder.
Her heart almost skipped a beat. She turned around and saw Huo YanXiao, who should not have been there, standing in the rain.
He had already squatted down in front of her. He quickly checked the wound on her knee, then he turned his back to her and said, “Get on, AnAn.”
