Chapter 56 - “Unwanted” images of Huo YanXiao
The Qin’s and the Nie’s have a marriage agreement. At the rate things were going, Nie ChengFeng had no intention of marrying Qin Ziyi.
Which meant, if she became Nie ChengFeng’s sister, then she could marry into the Qin’s.
It wasn’t specified in the agreement that she must marry Qin ZiMing, which meant she could also marry Huo YanXiao.
Granted, all this hinged upon the fact that Huo YanXiao was, indeed, Qin Hai’s son out of the wedlock.
As Nie AnAn was thinking about all this, she felt that her head was getting hotter.
Then, she recalled the day when she witnessed Huo YanXiao changing and her heart fluttered and she blushed uncontrollably.
No, no, no. How could she look at her brother that way?
She fanned her own cheeks a little and recalled that her brother purely treated her like a little sister. Frustrated, she crawled into bed and rolled around in it like an angry little hamster.
The rolling around didn’t help matters any and certainly did not get rid of the mental image of him changing in her head. Nie AnAn finally gave in, opened up the door again, and headed downstairs for some water.
She did not purposefully walk lightly nor did she run into anyone. After a few sips of cold water, she finally felt that her cheeks weren’t burning as much as they did before, so she pitter pattered back upstairs.
After trying very hard to push the “unwanted” images of Huo YanXiao out of her mind, Nie AnAn forced herself to clear her mind. Everything could wait till after she had a good night’s sleep.
Luckily, she had always maintained a very regular schedule since she had transmigrated, so under the effect of her biological clock, she quickly fell asleep.
The next morning, Nie AnAn made breakfast and seated everyone.
She glanced over in Qin ZiMing’s direction and noticed that he didn’t look too well this morning, presumably he had not slept well because of the incident.
Nie AnAn felt that the rumor about Huo YanXiao’s background was, more likely than not, the truth.
Without thinking too much, she quietly finished her share before she walked away, waiting to go shopping with Ji YunChuan in a little bit.
Ji YunChuan was quite efficient today and didn’t make Nie AnAn wait for too long before he came over, shopping bags in hand.
The two took off together. And, inside the inn, the guests had also begun getting ready to start their day of filming.
Over at Yun Lai Inn, the interactive activities that Huo YanXiao had to participate in were better than those yesterday – most of them being physical ones.
For example, working on parts of the inn that needed fixing. Such as, the lanterns hanging up around the inn needed to be replaced, etc.
Huo YanXiao hadn’t said a word the entire time. He simply tackled what needed to be done.
Dressing in casual wear that was out of the ordinary – a black t-shirt on top of blue jeans – his defined muscles were visible under his t-shirt. As he climbed up and down the ladder removing the lanterns, the curves of his arms and chest muscles were full and dynamic.
The text wall in the streaming channel exploded –
“Ooooh, Brother Huo is truly a man of few words! He hadn’t even said a word but just rolled up his sleeves and worked!”
“Brother Huo in and of himself is like a big block of working pheromones, okay? Oh my god. I can’t keep my legs closed!”
“Another day of doing nothing but watching Brother Huo. I am done for. How am I going to study for my exam? What should I do when the only thing I can think of is Brother Huo?”
“I am begging on my knees for Brother Huo to debut as an actor! I will be his biggest fan!”
“I second that suggestion by the previous poster!”
“Speaking off, am I the only one trying to find the similarities between Brother Huo and Young Master Qin?”
