Title: A Fake Holy Mother in the Zombie Apocalypse
Translator: Little Bamboo Spirit
Chapter 185 - You have a daughter like me, but I don't have a dad like you (2)
The burly man distributed the cards to them. They only had three minutes to talk.
After taking the cards, the colorful tattooed man suggested, "How about I chose the wolf card and you chose the human card? I'll take both bullets and help you kill your zombie."
Bei Nuan didn't reply. She calmly stared at him.
The colorful tattooed man looked at the fighting cage and shook his head. He rejected his idea first. "That won't work. The cage area is too small, and the zombies are too quick. I won't be able to kill both zombies in time."
Deeply worried, he asked Bei Nuan, "Do you know how to use a gun?"
Bei Nuan nodded. "I've already killed two with a gun."
"Okay." The colorful tattooed man said, "Play the wolf card, and I'll play the human card. You can have both bullets."
Bei Nuan: ?
"What are you looking at me for?" The colorful tattooed man heroically clenched his strong fist to show Bei Nuan. "I've killed several zombies with my fist. One heavy punch to their head is enough to kill them."'
It might be possible to beat a zombie with his fist, but there was definitely a risk of getting bitten and infected.
"Don't worry about it. My fist is definitely not worse than a gun. A gun might miss, but my fist never misses," the colorful tattooed man said.
The three minutes were up, and the burly man had them place their cards.
Bei Nuan looked at the colorful tattooed man's eyes and tried her best to see through this person's true heart the way that Lu Xingchi could.
She took out a card and placed it on the table.
The burly man announced, "Flip."
It was two human cards.
The colorful tattooed man frowned at Bei Nuan. Just as he was about to say something, Bei Nuan brightly smiled at him and said, "I only need one bullet."
They entered the fighting cage.
After the zombie cages were brought up, Bei Nuan adopted her usual stance. She glanced over at the colorful tattooed man's side from her peripheral vision.
This big bro was really brave. Unlike Bei Nuan, who stood far away from the side with the zombie cages, he walked over to the other end and waited for the zombie to come out.
The cage doors were opened, and two shots were fired. Both sides were efficient and ended the fight in the shortest time possible.
After they walked out to get the bonus bags, the colorful tattooed man saw that Bei Nuan was staying and asked in a low voice, "Why aren't you leaving?"
Bei Nuan told him the truth. "I can't leave. I have to play one more round."
"Another round?" The colorful tattooed man was puzzled, but he still said, "I'll wait for you below the stage. I have something to tell you. Be careful."
Once again, Bei Nuan won the fight unscathed.
The audience had already gone out-of-control. A girl with a F tag had won two new cage fights in a row. Such a miraculous thing had never happened on the island before. Even so, she didn't step down from the stage.
One of the audience asked Bei Nuan, "Why aren't you leaving? Is someone forcing you to fight?"
Bei Nuan didn't speak. She bit her lip with her hands behind her back. She looked so pitiful standing there on the stage. Although she didn't speak, her expression said everything.
The crowd was outraged. This girl had won two new cage fights in a row, but she still couldn't leave.
The audience felt protective of her and shouted in unison, "Let her go! Let her go!"
Bei Nuan glanced at Qiu Zhengxun, who was sitting upright. His expression was so entertaining to watch. She guessed that he had never encountered such a situation before.
The audience didn't just consist of laborers. It also included the bandits that had control of the island. Everyone was shouting the same three words.
This time, everyone flocked over to the employee that was taking bets that Bei Nuan would win. They were all betting that Bei Nuan would win. There were people that thought this unusual girl would really win again, and there were also people that placed the bet to show support even though they didn't think she would win.
The side that was taking bets that Bei Nuan would lose was deserted.
The third person was brought onto the stage.
Bei Nuan glanced at him and could tell that he was a liar based on her plentiful experience of lying to people for years.
This was a thin man in his 40's. He was wearing a grey jacket and hunched over. He looked like a dean and calmly looked straight at her with a smile when he came onto the sage.
As soon as he got onto the stage, he asked her in the tone of a caring elder, "Little girl, you're so young. Why did you come here to cage fight?"
Bei Nuan calmly replied, "Oh, I need money."
And then, she asked, "What about you? Are you short of money too?"
The middle-aged man froze for a moment, surprised that she would be so direct. Feeling awkward, he made a noncommittal sound, and then he asked, "Do you have a clear understanding of the rules?"
He sounded like he had come here to be a referee instead of a player in the cage fight.
Bei Nuan nodded.
He continued to direct the conversation. "Let's agree to both play human cards. We'll each take a bullet and kill the zombie on our side. That way we can both get money. Alright?"
Bei Nuan batted her eyelids and asked in an innocent voice, "What if I play the human card and you play the wolf card?"
The middle-aged man immediately replied in an insulted tone, "No way. I'm not that kind of person."
