Title: A Fake Holy Mother in the Zombie Apocalypse
Translator: Little Bamboo Spirit
Chapter 1 - Novice Halo (1)
It was lunchtime in City S's prosperous financial district. Office workers poured out from the nearby buildings like packs of wolves scavenging for food. The women' heels clicked-clacked on the pavement, and the men's suits were neatly pressed and stiff. Their key cards were hanging on their neckties and swinging back and forth on their chests. These elites of elites were immaculately dressed.
In the crowd, there was a girl that stood out like a sore thumb.
Everyone that passed by her took a second look in shock. After all, there were very few people that dared to wear pajamas in the financial district at noon.
The girl was wearing pajamas with brown bear print. Her long hair was softly draped behind her shoulders. Her small face -
In fact, although everyone thought the girl was dressed strangely, they felt that her small face was unexpectedly holy and beautiful, as pure as an angel. Her fair skin was flawless. Her guileless eyes were crystal clear.
Anyone that happened to meet her eyes instinctively wanted to avoid her gaze in fear that she would see through to their hidden despicable and narrow-mind self.
However, something streaked through the sky in an arc and quickly attracted everyone's attention.
Almost immediately, there was a loud bang in the middle of the road, and a hole appeared in the flat and gray asphalt road.
It looked like a fallen meteorite.
There was the sound of braking vehicles and honking. Many pedestrians halted. A bold driver opened the car door, got out, and walked to the crater.
The girl didn't even bother looking in that direction and walked forward as if nothing had happened.
"Just that thing?" The girl asked in her head.
A blithe and sweet-sounding male voice answered, "That's right."
Suddenly, a scream broke out on the road.
The zombie infection had started.
The person, who had touched the meteorite, had twitched and fallen onto the ground. That person had mutated. With blood-red eyes, the first infected person madly bit a nearby person. This caused a chain reaction. One infected person became two, two became four, the power of exponential growth was astonishing.
Each infected person seemed as if they hadn't eaten in a decade.
In a moment, there was no difference between the sidewalk and the road. There was only fleeing people and pursuing zombies.
In the crazy chaos of this apocalyptic scene, only the girl kept the same pace as before as she walked forward on the sidewalk.
There were more and more zombies. It didn't take them long to merge into a group. Like a crowd at the starting point of a marathon, they were full of energy.
A small squad of zombies shouted and rushed towards the girl, but it was as if they met a barrier. As soon as they got closer, they automatically went around her. Bouncing with vitality, they rushed past her to the next living person.
It was as if the girl was a telephone pole or a tree.
There was wave after wave of zombies. The zombies rushed forward like a tide and treated the girl as if she was a transparent person.
The girl's name was Bei Nuan.
Just ten minutes ago, Bei Nuan was wearing her beloved bear pajamas and lying on her comfortable bed. When she was halfway through reading, she got a call from the express delivery guy.
Bei Nuan went downstairs. When she had walked to the gate of the community, she still hadn't seen the express delivery guy.
When she was looking around, there was a loud bang. A large truck delivering goods to the supermarket suddenly went crazy and rushed towards Bei Nuan.
Just as the truck had dangerously turned over and was about to flatten Bei Nuan into a pancake, she transmigrated.
There was a pleasant male voice in her head professing himself as System #3. He told Bei Nuan that she had transmigrated into a zombie apocalypse novel titled A Hurricane-esque Apocalypse.
